Artist and Maker

I create wearable art, wigs, and headpieces in Neo-Baroque and Avant-Garde styles. My creations serve to submerge the viewer, audience, or participant. From tame realistic period looks to something otherworldly.  The goal is to find beauty in bizarre and facilitate flamboyance for everyone, elevating their experiences. On a daily basis I’ll find spontaneity and organic exploration of my surroundings inspired by the shapes, textures and divergency inherent to the natural world, increasing my desire to create sustainable works.

From an early education and career in communications arts I became interested in  3-dimensional art forms. Self-taught, I’ve developed my own techniques and proficiency through trial-and-error in the studio as well as many public experiments. I work with combinations of materials, fibers and techniques to create innovative, exaggerated pieces that are also durable, functional, sustainable and, ultimately, wearable art. My diligence develops the unique ingenuity and a high standard of production. Through my studies, professional practices have been developed that are recognized locally with a growing international profile.
